Displace is a modern, geometric sans-serif font family designed by Tobias Frere-Jones. Its name comes from the French word "déplacer", meaning "to move". It was inspired by the work of Jean François Raffaëlli (1777–1867), who used the term "displacement" to describe his style of lettering.
